The “M” Family

Saturday, November 5th, 2011

Today the “M” family and I shot family portraits around Hinson Lake and their home.  I was a little bummed at first due to the construction equipment and signs all over Hinson Lake.  But that didn’t stop us!

I believe this was little "M"'s idea. Mom, Dad, and I were talking for a moment. Next thing you know he was down on the ground playing in the leaves. So we joined him!

This fella sure had a lot of energy this afternoon!

Although the Hinson Lake area is under construction, we still found neat little places to shoot.

Their land around their home is quite photogenic as well. Especially this time of year.

Thank you all for allowing me to work with you today. I hope we can do this again sometime!

Holly’s Senior Portraits

Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

This was my first shoot in Ansonville.  I’m so glad Holly’s mom called me for portraits.  The area is very quaint with many picturesque areas.  That on top of how comfortable Holly is in front of the camera….I plan on getting back there soon to work with Holly again along with her sister!

Both of us noticed this red door and wanted to shoot in front of it.

A small gust of wind hits Holly milliseconds before I press the shutter.

Thanks everyone!  I’m looking forward to working with you again!

Lil’ Miss “M”

Sunday, August 28th, 2011

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing Miss “M” in her home and by her beautiful pool.  She is quite good at this.  Her mother has taken her own striking photographs of her daughter in the past.

I love how the greenery embraces her here.

You might call this an out take. Her sister (behind me) was cracking her up!

Really digging the pastels in her room.

Thank you for the kind words and for inviting me into your home!

Kelly and Mitch – Laurinburg, NC

Thursday, August 25th, 2011

Kelly and Mitch wed at the First United Methodist Church in Laurinburg NC.  It’s  a beautiful church with a rich history for Mitch.  He and his father have attended and worked there for years.

Kelly had a great set of bridesmaids to help her!

Mitch was able to play ping pong before the ceremony. I wish I could have played ping pong before my wedding!

You have to pull pretty hard to ring the bells there.

Mitch personally sanded and stained the doors to the church.

This was part of a game the DJ played with them. They had to raise the shoe of the person the DJ was describing. I guess Kelly disagreed!

One of many, many dancing images.

Congratulations to you both and thank you!

Lauren and Jonathan

Wednesday, August 24th, 2011

Lauren and Jonathan held their wedding at the Design Center of the Carolinas.  The center was a pretty swell place to have their ceremony.  They were then able to have the reception in the place as well.  A big thanks to Elisa Henry from InContrast Images.  This was the first wedding I shot after my car accident.  Elisa was there to assist me and I can’t thank her enough!

Above:  One of my favorite shots from this wedding.  The bride ducking away from the groomsmen!

Above:  This was my first wedding after watching the movie Bridesmaids.  I couldn’t wait to get this image completed!  Look here if this doesn’t make sense!

Above:  A perfect place for relatives who could not be present.

Above:  A light rail stop was across the street.  It made for an awesome location!

Above:  This was practiced before the wedding.  Whew!

Sisters Molly and Sara

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

Sara is going to college soon and the family is selling their home.  Although they are relocating within the county, their time in this neighborhood will come to a close.  I’m happy I was chosen to take the last images of these sisters around the house they spent much of their time growing up in.

Lil’ Maddie

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

Welcome to the world Maddie!

Above and Below:  Her father is an Atlanta Braves and Carolina Panthers fan.  Luckily we were able to incorporate them into her session.

Above:  One of Maddie’s cousins paid her a visit during the shoot.

Thanks to her mom and dad for letting me work with her.  🙂

Blaire – Class of 2011

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

I had so much fun with Blaire!  We shot on the square in downtown Rockingham and walked around a bit for more locations.  We were lucky enough to find plenty of dandelions in bloom also.  She has an outgoing personality making it a pleasure to work with her.  We will definitely be shooting together again.

Thanks Blaire!

Brittany – Class of 2011

Tuesday, May 17th, 2011

I can’t wait to work with Scotland Senior High School Senior Brittany again!  She is totally comfortable in front of a camera.    Of course we shot your standard cap and gown photos, but we both wanted something a little different with her gown.  Hence the below photo.

Thanks Brittany!

Catelyn – My 1st!

Catelyn was my first senior portrait way back when.  We had a lot of fun today catching up with one another.  Thanks Catelyn!
