Natalie’s Senior Portraits

Sunday, August 26th, 2012

This was my first time working with Natalie.  She has posed before and was very comfortable with things.  I found out at the end that she is a former cheerleader and dancer.  That being the case, I am sure she will be posted on this blog again in the future.  I have a few dance images I want to try out.

Both of us braved LOTS of mosquitoes for this image. I’m glad we did!

I tried to back light Natalie as much as possible. Her hair is amazing when lit properly.

A little bit of Jessica Rabbit here!

Thanks Natalie! I hope we get to play together again. -duane

Jennifer’s Bridal Portraits

Sunday, May 13th, 2012

I wanted to post these the night Jennifer and I took them.  I loved them so much!  It was during this session I started doing slightly different things with posing.  Thanks Jennifer for indulging me!

This is one of my favorite images of Jennifer. I appreciate how her dress lays as well as the background of the Leak Wall garden.

I don't shoot too much inside the Leak Wall House. However I really like this yellow couch!

Thanks "Mom" for your help with Jennifer's images!

Portraits with the “C” family!

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

We all met at the Leak Wall House in downtown Rockingham.  This is a nice time of year now that the flowers are in bloom!

A beautiful family. Love the pastels!

Thanks for choosing me as your photographer!  -duane

The “R” Family Portraits

Sunday, January 1st, 2012

Wow.  I haven’t blogged in so long!  This was a swell session with the “R” family.  These were taken right at the end of fall of last year.  We still had lots of leaves to play with.

Above: Yeah I really have become a fan of this viewpoint style image.

Above and Below:  Sometimes it’s best to stop posing and photograph families being families.

Above: Their Christmas image.  Thanks you all!

Portraits with lil’ T.

Thursday, October 27th, 2011

This fella just oozes cool.  Especially when he access to a hat.  And when the black ants came out, he kept it together while dad brushed him off!

Casey and David

Sunday, April 24th, 2011

I have to give credit to David for this image.  We were almost done when the tree got his attention.  Luckily they were able to get up on the branch with his truck.  He let me shoot from the back of his pickup.  He was also very careful with helping Casey into the tree.

Thanks to you both.  I’m happy we got to work together again!

Alyssa – Session II

Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

The last time Alyssa and I were together we didn’t quite finish her portraits.  After quite a while our schedules lined up so we could finish.  We hit the Leak Wall House in downtown Rockingham, NC.  Thanks Alyssa!

The “S” Family

Sunday, January 30th, 2011

The boys in this family were some of the most enthusiastic kids I have ever worked with.  It makes shooting so much more fun!

Thank you!

The “A” Family Portraits

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

I had a great session with them at the Leak Wall House in downtown Rockingham some time ago.

Above: I enjoyed photographing her pretty blue eyes!

Above: I love this stuff!

It’s Cold!

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010

So me and the Stutts Sisters took some last minute portraits for Christmas gifts for their family.  We started at Hinson lake and decided it was WAY too cold!

Above: Oh yeah this was too cold!

Above:  We shot at the Leak Wall House.  It was still cold, but the wind was all crazy on us.

Above: These belts were gifts to the sisters from their father.  I think.  🙂

Above: Nailed it!
