Work continued on the Habitat For Humanity home being built off of Fox Road in Rockingham, NC. The Habitat in Moore County is in charge of the home being built for Lucille Pressley. Students from Potomac State College in West Virginia volunteered their time along with Moore County residents.

District attorney Michael Parker auctions off baked goods with Ron Mayo Friday night at Main Street Cafe in Hamlet. Parker, Mayo, members of the Hamlet Pride Team and other volunteers held a fish fry and baked goods auction with all money benefiting Relay For Life.

The East Rockingham Fire Department held a controlled burn of a home on Cliff Street in East Rockingham Tuesday night. The Church of God of Prophecy owns the property and will expand onto it after the land is cleared. “The burn gives new firefighters a controlled environment to learn” said East Rockingham Fire Chief Mitch Watson.

Jennifer & William married at Cordova United Methodist Church recently. Top: Both share a post ceremony kiss before exiting the church.
