Former award winning Richmond County Daily Journal editor Glenn Sumpter has passed away after a brief illness. He will truly be missed. Glenn was heavily involved with the Richmond Community Theatre. I had the pleasure of photographing Glenn a few times. Below are some images from his shows. All were directed by David W. Ariail.
A memorial service to honor his life will be at Hamlet First Methodist Church on Saturday September 11 at 11:00.

From the Richmond County Schools Friday Highlights newsletter: Richmond County Schools Educators of the Year were honored during the Convocation Ceremony at Cole Auditorium on August 19. Christy Mabe, Richmond Early College High Teacher of the Year, was selected as the district-wide teacher of the year. She will represent Richmond County Schools in the regional level of the state Teacher of the Year competition. All of her students were proficient on their EOCs last year.
These images were taken for her portfolio and for fun! Congratulations Christy. Enjoy your 2011 Toyota Camry, courtesy of Rockingham’s Griffin Toyota!
I have had a few inquiries about albums so I thought I would post some example images of Parent, Grandparent, and Keepsake Albums. They come in either 5×5 inches in size or 10×10. They can have 10 or 20 images in both sizes. I have 51 choices as far as covers. Please contact me for pricing and availability. Bridal Album images coming soon!

Months before Kimberly’s wedding with Patrick, we shot her bridal portraits at Ellerbe Springs Bed and Breakfast in Ellerbe, NC. The location rests on 50 acres with gorgeous landscapes and cozy rooms for bridal preparation. Kimberly allowed me to shoot some images of her getting ready for her portrait.
Above: After all was said and done we shot a few more relaxed images. Thanks Kimberly!

Children from all over Richmond County are taking place in Missoula Children’s Theatre traveling show “The Princess and the Pea”. Below are some rehearsal images from the Cole Auditorium in Hamlet, NC. Performances are Saturday August 8th at 3pm and again at 6pm.
Thanks so much to Jordan and Nick for showing me this merry-go-round! Their pet ferrets were hilarious! They put liquid on their hands and noses to interact with them for the photos.
Congratulations to you both. Looking forward to the wedding!
