From the Richmond County Schools Friday Highlights newsletter: Richmond County Schools Educators of the Year were honored during the Convocation Ceremony at Cole Auditorium on August 19. Christy Mabe, Richmond Early College High Teacher of the Year, was selected as the district-wide teacher of the year. She will represent Richmond County Schools in the regional level of the state Teacher of the Year competition. All of her students were proficient on their EOCs last year.
These images were taken for her portfolio and for fun! Congratulations Christy. Enjoy your 2011 Toyota Camry, courtesy of Rockingham’s Griffin Toyota!

For Katie and Wes’ engagement photos, we started at Camp Millstone in Ellerbe, NC and ended up in downtown Southern Pines. I was lucky enough to have my wife Michele with me in Ellerbe. She helped me with the images from the canoe.

Above: These were lots of fun to shoot. Thanks Michele!

Above and Below: Serious NCSU fans!

Above: This was our move to Southern Pines. The train tracks in their downtown area are very fun to play with!

Months before Kimberly’s wedding with Patrick, we shot her bridal portraits at Ellerbe Springs Bed and Breakfast in Ellerbe, NC. The location rests on 50 acres with gorgeous landscapes and cozy rooms for bridal preparation. Kimberly allowed me to shoot some images of her getting ready for her portrait.

Above: After all was said and done we shot a few more relaxed images. Thanks Kimberly!

A big congrats goes to the Senior Class of 2010! Below is a slide show of some of the people I had the pleasure of working with.

Okay it took me way too long to blog my trip to Costa Rica with Sunny and Ben to photograph their wedding. I had an awesome time with them. We went horseback riding and ventured into town while prepping for the wedding at the resort. We stayed at the Villa Celetas hotel which is nestled in the rain forest about one hour from the San Jose airport. Here are a slew of images from the day before their wedding.
Below: Horseback riding in the morning. We had an escort with us who took us through a wooded area on a dirt road.

Below: Once reach the top of the hill, we rested under this shelter and were given fruit from our guide.

Below: After horseback riding, we went into town for water and Sunny shopped for wedding favors.
Below: The amphitheater on the edge of the resort was the location of the wedding ceremony. Only guests have access to it.
Below: The infinity pool and other areas of the resort.
Below: This was my favorite spot at the resort. Guests have access to a private beach below the hotel.
Wedding images to be posted soon!
